BOUTIQUE PORTRAIT WORKSHOP

September 8-12, 2024         Chicago Area 

 

Day 1

Sunday Sept 8 – Arrive at local hotel early afternoon

            4pm                Check in to Workshop

            4:30-6pm        Introductions, etc

            6-7pm             Portrait Session demo in Downtown Frankfort

            7pm                Wine and Dinner at local restaurant (included)

            9pm                Wine and Sharing in Hotel or Back Patio, if weather permits?

 

Day 2

Monday Sept 9– Full day of education at Procam in Aurora

             9-10:30am      TWO PERSPECTIVES:   Posing/Composition/Expression

            Selecting Backgrounds, Working with Children, Composing for the Wall Portrait, Posing different body types   

            10:45-12:30     LIVE DEMO OF POSING/LIGHTING, etc of above concepts

            12:30-1:30       Lunch on own

            1:30-3pm         Client Communication/Design Consultation

            3 -4pm            Actual live consultation for evening session. Key questions. Handling Objections.

            4:00-5:30pm   Free time at Procam to browse/shop photo gear

            5:30-7:30pm   Portrait Session in downtown Naperville.      

            8:00pm           Dinner on your own in Naperville, shop talk during.

            10:00pm         Travel back to hotel

 

Day 3

Tuesday Sept 10 – Full day of education (Frankfort Chamber building)

           

            9:00am           Prepping for the Sale

                                  Preparing for the client, prepping images

            10:30              Actual Live Sales session from previous day’s session.

            12:30pm         Lunch on own

            1:30pm           Review the Sales Session: In Person Sales, Mock Sales Session, Handling Objections    

            4:00pm           Pack up to leave to drive to downtown Chicago

            5:00pm           Portrait Sessions at Museum Campus area with multiple model set ups, 2-3 different set ups and                                      locations. 

            8:00pm           Chicago Deep Dish Pizza party (included)

            10:00pm         leave Chicago for hotel

 

Day 4

Wednesday Sept 11 – Full day of education

           

            9am                Finishing/Delivery/Packaging, etc

                                   Finishing the Wall Portrait, Installation, Delivery and what comes after the delivery? 

                                    At Behnke’s Workroom                                             

                                   We will actually create finished images for students that they photographed or brought with.

             Noon              Lunch on own

            1:30pm           Marketing/Finding High End Clientele (back to Frankfort Chamber)

            3:30                Roundtable/Marketing Brainstorming Session

           4:00pm            Executive Portrait Session / Concept shoot

            7:00pm           Group Dinner at Cool Restaurant (included)

            9:00pm           Wine and Sharing,  Behnke's place or Gracie’s tavern.

 

Day 5

Thursday Sept 12– Final day

            7am                Sunrise DANCERS Inspirational Portrait Session 

            9am                Breakfast all together with open discussion (included)

            11am              Check Out of Hotel.

 

OPTIONAL

            Anybody that would like to head back into Chicago with us would be treated to a special tour at the Art Institute of Chicago. Then a river architectural tour. Attendees pay only for admissions/tickets.

There are many hotel options in the area within 15 minutes. We will have rooms blocked or you can book your own.
